This table top press is mostly 3d printed from Polylactic Acid(PLA), a sustainable bioplastic derrived from sources such as corn starch and sugar cane. PLA is stiff, lightweight, and resistant to most petrochemicals. This lightweight press weighs less than 5lbs and takes up about as much space as a gallon of milk. This press is Perfect for live printing events or printing on the go. This thing looks like a toy but can get some serious printing done with its 5:1 gear reduction. The gear reduction makes it so that even children can crank the handle and produce relief prints. And with a little bit of effort and high quality felts you can print consistent drypoints and etchings.
*WARNING: PLA tends to warp under high heat, ~140°F(60°C) so try your best to keep it out of direct sunlight and the front window of a hot car. You can use this press outdoors but in the shade and it usually will be safe from warping. But this does depend on where you live and how hot your summers get. If you want a press that is more temperature resistant and safe for outdoor use, look at the "Phantom Plastic Press v2.0 (ASA)".

Options:
Press bed: The press can come in a 6inch wide variation or 8inch wide variation. The press will come with a piece of hardboard that can be used as a basic press bed. The press is designed to take any flat hard surface as a press bed, so if you lose or break it, it can be easily user replaced or upgraded. I recommend using a surface that is 1/4inch thick to maintain consistency with the built in ruler on the side of the press.
Color: Choose from 5 different colors for the press body: black, pink, digital blue, light green, and purple. The rollers and gears will always be white.
Extending wings: This upgrade adds more room for your press bed to sit on either side of the press while maintaining the original portable form factor. The wings will greatly help when feeding and catching larger prints, especially with the 8-inch wide press. These wings utilize the same base as the standard phantom plastic press v2, meaning that you can buy the base press and then add on the extending wings later without having to buy a whole new press.
Press form: The kit form press will come in pieces and you will have to assemble it yourself. You will need some lubricant (such as oil or grease, you will need grease if you plan to print etchings), super glue that works on plastic, and a phillips head screwdriver. Instructions included. The Fully Assembled version will come fully assembled, calibrated, and lubricated. The gearbox will be permanently attached to the top roller.
